Pokemon Snap Safari

4.14.2008

Dearest Kelsey and I felt rather adventurous yesterday morning. Probably because we only slept for two hours after a night of Pom Poko, Fooly Cooly, and accidental "sexy sex anime porn". So we grabbed a camera, our adventure caps, and ran to the woods for some Pokemon-finding fun. We brought some of my many Pikachus just in case we got attacked by a WILD POKEMON. Note how happy Kelsey looks holding these excited little creatures:

She's cuter than the pikachus for sure, however. But we're not here to talk about that, we're here to show off photos of the adorable Pokemon we found playing in the woods!

The first Pokemon we caught sight of was another Pikachu. No, I'm lying, this is one of ours. She enjoyed climbing the trees. But the three's static ability seemed to attract another cute electric mouse--

A wild PACHIRISU appeared! But unfortunately, despite how fast I am, this was the only photo I could get of him before he skurried back up the tree and disappeared. For a while, we didn't find many other Pokemon- just a couple of Pidgies and a Murkrow or two that honestly didn't want to have their portrait taken. Disappointing. Kelsey and I sat under my Cherry Blossom tree, and let the Pikachus play.

During this wonderful time, we quickly noticed there were many Cherrim in the tree above us enjoying the spring-time sun before it was swallowed up by the Washington weather we're normally plagued with. Isn't this one a cutie?

Then! Walking around the perimeter of my home, we heard some rustling in the bushes. Out hopped a Buneary, right in front of us. She crossed our path, oblivious to our presence, and stared starry-eyed at a large bush of flowers in front of her. She quickly plucked one of the oversized flowers, and hopped right past us! We decided to follow and see what she was doing.

She lead us to a pile of flowers out by my mother's garden, where a Raichu greeted her- were they friends? I think so. The Raichu hopped up and down and danced with her as soon as she set the flowers down with the others. They seem to have been gathering flowers for a celebration of spring!

This ended our Pokemon snap safari. We took our Pikachus and our camera and went back inside to develop the film, and were quite content with the outcome. Then we watched a video of Atticus-ness and went to do something else- which is why I posted this today instead of yesterday...How lazy. :]
